How much will it cost to hire me?

Every client’s project scope and requirements differ, therefore, they will be charged accordingly.

For that reason, I DO NOT offer a list of predetermined design packages (e.g xxx for 3 logo options).

I will only reply to your request for quote only when I have adequate information regarding your project scope.

Can I beat your neighbour’s son’s price?

I don’t compete on price. I’m pretty much aware that there are designers who will be willing to charge you less than a tenth of what I charge.

A good habit is to always look at the return on investment that your are striving for vs. the amount of money that you’re willing to invest in your project.

How will we work, and what should I expect?

After receiving answers to the questionnaire, I will draw up an cost estimate which I will email to you.

A 50% deposit will be due and I will email you a schedule for your project after receiving your payment.

I will start with the project research, and brainstorming phase, where I might have a few further questions that I’ll need you to answer.

In the next step, I will execute ideas that I have and then present you the idea that I think fits your objectives best.

We’ll then correspond through email, in regards to your thoughts on the proposed design solution — and telephonically should the need arise.

How many concepts will I supply you with?

I don’t believe in impressing clients with multiple design options, as I believe it’s my duty to select and present a design that answers the client’s brief the best.

I’d rather go back to the drawing back should you find the design I propose unsatisfactory.

How long will it take me to complete your project?

The answer to this question depends highly on my current workload. I’m comfortable with at least 2 weeks for brand identities for times when I have a low workload, but I’m usually flexible to meet your deadline, should you have any.

Can I start with your project immediately?

Again, it will depend on the amount of work that I’m currently busy with.

You are in a different country, how will we work?

Though nothing can be better than meeting in person, the advancement of technology has made it possible for me to work with clients regardless of their geographic location.

I’m available to communicate with you through any of these medium: telephone, email or instant messaging.

I will use email to correspond with you in regards to design proposals.

But I’m open to travelling, should you require a face-to-face meeting.

Can I help you with printing of your designs?

I’m not a printer but I handle printing and suggest things like the weight, finishing and type of paper on behalf of my clients as I have established a long-term relationship with professional printers that I’ve worked with for the past 6 years.

I don’t have photographs for my project, what now?

I can handle the photography needs of your project, I have a close relationship with great photographers.

Obviously, there will be extra costs added to the cost estimate, which will be mostly made of what the photographer will charge.

What will I get when the project is completed?

I will provide you with raw file formats so you are able to reprint the design when the need arise.

You will be provided with vector files, which can be scaled to any size without losing quality, in cases of logo design project.

What are my payment terms?

I mostly require a 50% deposit before I can schedule in your project.

How do I accept payment?

A direct bank deposit is good enough if you are based within South Africa, otherwise I will require you to transfer your payment through Western Union.

Banking details will be attached to the quotation.
